Head down Blackwall Rd for Booker Bay; traffic medium.
R into Picnic Parade
Look to L over Brisbane Water & St Huberts Island from Rip Bridge.
R at Avoca Drive. Lots of traffic heading to beaches.
Blind corner and steepish downhill before roundabout. Resist temptation to hoon it.
Rough and narrow shoulders into Terrigal.
Very scenic section to Wamberal. Road into Terrigal & Ocean View Dr requires your concentration.
Heavy traffic, tight bends and parked cars. Slow down.
L into Tumbi Rd. Road almost to yourself to Mingara.
R at roundabout into Tumbi Creek Rd; R into Gregory, L into Lakedge.
L into Platypus; then take cycleway onto roundabout. High traffic into Wyong; but roads are good.
Low to moderate traffic until Wyong Leagues Club.
L into Wahroonga; then R into Swan; L into Craigie; R into Walker
Chain bike and stop for lunch. Lots of traffic until you join Pacific Hwy; but pretty safe - just ride decisively.
Unwelcome uphill next 2.5km.
Pleasant Lake views to left.
Nasty pinch; but you're almost in Swansea.
Enjoy the descent into Swansea.
Extremely quick ride to Belmont; 11 minutes if you are fresh.
A few parked cars about but pretty safe.
Very unwelcome hill to Violet Town Rd.
Look right for beautiful views over Redhead and ocean.
The climb into Charlestown is gradual; don't let the elevation profile freak you.
Watch for buses pulling out just before lights; and parked cars after lights.
Panoramic views over suburbs to ocean on left.
Heavy traffic next 800m.
Tricky roundabout; watch for traffic turning R into Carnley Avenue.
L into Queens just before filling station; then R into Fleet
Don't fly through New Lambton Shops; there are a few parked cars around at all hours.
R into Avondale; L into Lambton/Howe
Straight on at lights into cycleway; then R at next road.
