The way points of this bicycle route:
Wilmot Gateway Park, just off of the Sammamish River Trail
Begin climb
There's a little multi-use path you can use to cut the corner.
Top of the hill. There's a gas station/convenience store after you make the turn. Now there's a series of rollers.
Caution when crossing SR-522. You're going to take an immediate right after getting through the light.
Caution crossing rail road tracks.
Turn down 2nd Ave to reach a public restroom, places to eat. This is your turn around point.
Heavy traffic here as people are trying to access Hwy 9. Airport Way has no shoulder; ride single file.
Don't miss the veering right turn as you zoom down the hill, or you'll be stuck on hwy 9.
There's a convenience store here in Cathcart.
Just past the Cathcart convenience store, take the first right.
Take the next right, so you don't have to climb the steep hill. This street is called "Interurban", but it's not very urban at all. You'll be following Interurban for a while.
Caution crossing Hwy 9. Upside -- you've done basically all your climbing for the day. There's some minor upticks and rollers, but no more big hills.
