The way points of this bicycle route:

Wollombi

Park cars near small park just north of the hotel.

Millfield

Left onto Mount View Rd.

Gravel road. Climbs up to a ridge overlooking Pokolbin and the Hunter Valley.

Views are great.

Steep pinch.

Descent starts.

End of a great downhill run.

Pokolbin

Some wine tasting places along here. Fairly expensive cafes. Bring your own food.

Left onto main road ro Branxton.

Right at New England Highway.

Branxton.

Left at Elderslie Rd.

Undulating road. Bit of a climb.

Bridge over Hunter. Wooden planks.

Elderslie

Left on Elderslie Rd.

Choice of route here. Can go via Glendon or Sedgefield. Turn left for Glendon.

Left at Gressford Rd. New bridge over Hunter.

Singleton

Plenty of pubs to stay at. Try the Royal, on the Highway, or others on Singleton Rd.

Mt Thorley.

Big open cut coal mine will amaze/anger you. Think of all the CO2.

Keep going on the Putty Rd.

Left at Charlton Rd. Long mainly downhill run.

Road subsidence area. Caused by underground mining.

Right at Broke Rd.

Broke

Small village. Has cafe, pub and shops.

Leave Broke on the Paynes Crossing Rd. Nice road along Wollombi River Valley.

Timber bridge. Watch for the cracks!

Steep descent to another timber bridge. Poor quality surface. Large cracks between planks. Beware! Steep but short climb out.

End at the pub!
