The way points of this bicycle route:

Take care crossing main road

3rd exit at 2nd roundabout, down the steep hill past the Fox Pub.

Gradual climb for next 1km

MOD Dog Training centre should be right in front of you, turn left.

Past football pitches on the right

Straight over cross roads into Skid Hill Lane

Tight right hand bend, take care.

Great view across the valley to the left

T junction, turn left into Chelsham Court Road

Washpond Lane forms a Y shaped junction just after the NHS transmitter. Turn right here.

Short sharp decent, often gravel on the road at the bottom so take care

Small T junction, turn left onto Ledgers Road

Hairpin left down Slines Oak Road

Fast decent, bear right and DON'T take take fork straight ahead

Continues fast downhill

Kicks back uphill

View down to the right, across the golf course

At the T junction turn left into Woldingham Road

At the station follow the left hairpin up and up the first major climb of the route.

Stay on this road all the way through Woldingham, past the North Downs Golf club, past the top of Gangers Hill

This isn't a real junction, just a bend to the left

T junction with main Croydon Road, turn right

Roundabout at the top of Botley Hill. Take the first left Clarks Lane

Quick section, can be a bit windy at times though

Start of fast decent, be careful of the odd pot hole

Start easing off on this bend or you'll miss the turn!!

Quite hard on the brakes, change down and turn left where it's a little short uphill for a few yards with farmland to the right.

Straight over Westerham Hill, which you can see rising to your left, and continue on Pilgrims Way

Nice quick section of road, through farm lane and usually free from traffic

At the T-junction with Brasted Hill turn right then almost immediately left to stay on Pilgrims Way

Choices here: turn right down Ovenden Rd, Sundridge Rd and up star hill for more miles less gradient or follow the route left up the sod of a hill - Sundridge

2nd big climb of the route. This is steep on the first part but the gradient eases off (promise!).

Knockholt

Left at T junction into Cudham Lane South

About 100 yds and then right into Grays Rd

Spinning Wheel Pub

Turn right, before main road, after pub. (If you're short on time and don't mind a bit of traffic you can take the A233 past the Airport to get back quicker)

Just past the 'Deer' road sign turn left into Berry's Green Road - a wide, T junction with gravel on the road, and pot holes, take care

Down the hill and back up!

Change down to a low gear on this downhill...

Left up short, sharp hill - Jail Lane

Junction at top of hill, right into Single Street

Follow this road all the way through Downe and back to the A233

Past Downe House, where Darwin lived and wrote Origin of the Species

Downhill and then back up

Sharo 90 bend to the left

Roundabout, 2nd right up Westerham Rd, past bustop

bear right, roll down the hill to Keston

Keston

Straight over first roundabout

2nd exit at 2nd roundabout

Fast down Baston Road, on a clear day you can see Canary Wharf

Straight over at the lights

Straight over mini roundabout, back into Hayes Street, Bigfoot Bikes (and the cafe!) are on the left
