This light will never change for a bike. Most times of day it's more efficient to just run it than to wait for a car to trip the magnet.
This map is deceiving. 8th street actually dead-ends into a fence just past Muirfield. You have to go around on Wilshire until you can jump back onto 8th at Lucerne by the Wilshire Ebell Theater.
