The way points of this bicycle route:
North end of Parklands Track. The track starts off heading west from Quakers Hill Parkway, just south of the M7. Access to the start from the M7 shared path is via the western Quakers Hill Pkway access point. (Track medium grade gravel)
(Path alongside Richmond Rd, paved)
(Cross over Richmond Rd. Dangerous intersection. Maybe walk bikes across Richmond Rd a short distance back. Medium grade gravel track on other side of Richmond Rd).
(Access track to the right to Joe McAleer Park and Winten Drive).
Power St: Cross at the refuge island. Path between Power St & Nurragingy coarse pebbles. Not easy riding.
(Gates into Nurragingy Reserve. Opening times vary throughout year. Path paved).

(Narrow footpath up to & across bridge)
Cross Eastern Rd at traffic lights.
(Course gravel path. To avoid the rough stuff, continue along the shared path on this side of Eastern Rd up the hill, turn left onto the M7 access path, and right onto the M7 shared path. The Parklands Track joins the M7 path just after the Great Western Hwy bridge).
Cross Great Western Hwy at traffic lights. CAUTION : Beware of cars coming around the corner exiting the M7. Follow path around to the right, alongside the Great Western Hwy. Turn left after going underneath the M7 bridge as signposted. Turn right when you get to the main alignment of the M7 shared path.
Veer left at the Horsley Dr access ramp, then left onto Horsley Dr shared path.
Cross Ferrers Rd and the Horsley Dr at traffic lights.
Turn right into the existing Prospect-Farfield City Farm shared path.
Right turn onto a new piece of bitumen track. (Signpost but no direction markers currently at this turn).
Head straight ahead up Southdown Rd.
Follow road around to the left.
(Steep pinch on bitumen road that's braking up ahead...An alternative is to turn left here up a bitumen & grass path. Take the first right (mown grass path) which leads up to Ginger Meggs memorial. Turn right to get back onto the original road).

(Narrowly spaced bollards - Tight fit. Moonrise Lookout).
(Sugarloaf ridge lookout/picnic area to the left. Toilets, picnic tables, water [not obvious - to the right of the sign amongst trees just before picnic shelters).
Turn left down bitumen track. CAUTION Steep downhill and loose gravel when turning back onto the M7 path a few hundred metres down.
Turn left onto M7 path.
Turn right across the third bridge over the M7.
(Unformed track off to right).
(Y-ish intersection, with bitumen paths off to the left and straight ahead. Go straight ahead).
(Go along Twenty Seventh Ave. Parts are unsealed).
(Cross Fifteenth Ave. Refuge a short distance along Fifteen th Ave. Dangerous intersection).
(For access to shops and toilets, turn right across channel then immediate left into 29th Ave. Shops approx 1km, on Edmondson Rd corner. Toilets at Austral Bowling Club, 2 blocks to the left down Edmondson on 8th Ave corner. Club opens at 10am on weekends).
(Road narrows. Medium grade gravel for around 500m).
Turn left into Park. (Just after the entrance, Parklands track goes straight ahead as a 'mown grass' walking track [probably suitable for MTBs], Bitumen Greenway Loop path starts here & veers left).
(Access track on right to cnr Cadman Ave & Carmichael Dr)
Turn left, and head up the hill. (Access to cnr Second Ave & Mannow Ave to the right).
(End of Shared path - Unsealed Rd until Lory Ave).
Turn right into Lowry Ave (sealed).
Back to 27th Ave. Turn right, and head back the way you came to the M7 path.
