Route Details

head up the valley, on road at first and after a few miles, a track which leads up to the memorial plaque to “Wayfarer” at an altitude of 700m. Wayfarer was W M Robinson, a pioneer of off-road cycling soon after the First World War and the memorial was erected by the Rough Stuff Fellowship. The track used to have a fairly rideable surface, but erosion combined with 4x4s and motorcycle trail bikes have made it much rougher.
