Start North up Highway 1 to Bonnie Doon Rd, then start to Climb. Turn Rt onto Empire Grade Rd and continue climbing till the Rd ends for a total elevation gain of about 2500 ft. About 1 mile from the end you can turn right and drop down Jamison Creek Rd and at the bottom turn around and come back up (about 1000 ft climb in about 2 miles).
