Northbound, trolley track merge at a shallow angle, and cars merge as well. Be sure to look around and cross the tracks sharply.
Northbound, split the lanes and stay just right of the trolley track, or take the left turn lane by crossing the outer rail. Carefully cross the rails when turning west onto Boylston st. Don't pass trolleys when the doors are open.
Bicyclists cross when traveling along the Riverway and there is no official crossing, they often weave between stopped cars.
Road surface is very bad, especially southbound. Right lane is mostly a turn lane southbound, either take that lane or split lanes to the left of it. This intersection is a sea of pavement with no lane markings. It sound terrible, but traffic moves slowly through it because of the timing of lights. Soviet era buildings line the roadway here.
Southern extent of bike lanes, road surface is fair
Bike lanes on both sides, good pavement
Four lanes of roadway and two trolley tracks, beware of the rubber between the tracks, there are seems that can catch tires when crossing. Southbound bike lane is often blocked by delivery trucks, take the lane early.

Doughnut shop creates some turning traffic, especially contractors' vehicles.
Complicated intersection with 6 lanes roadway and two trolley tracks. You can get a jump on crazy traffic by crossing with pedestrian signals.
Bars, coffee shops, futon stores, and rusian markets
When heading north, get to the left of traffic turning right, but leave room for westbound traffic making sweeping turns onto Harvard Ave.
Tight corner, fast cabs, drivers coming and going from sports bar
Moving trucks, avoid melted remains of burned car when heading east
Illegal to go east under the bridge, but drivers do it often. Look around carefully or walk the bike.
The RR tracks are smooth when heading west, but real bad heading east
