My wife and I rode this in 2009 as part of a cross-country tour. It carries a fair amount of traffic, but US 20 has a good shoulder virtually all the way. Note that, in Albany, getting onto the Mohawk Hudson bike path and pedestrian bridge over the Hudson River is a little tricky. by colobikenut
