Upper Thomson Rd

REGULARITY AND TIME OF USAGE * Sports cyclists use the loop 7 days a week. * Regular time of use by sports cyclists is mostly in the mornings (generally between 5am to 8am) and evenings (generally between 7.30pm to 10.30pm). * Heavier usage on Saturday and Sunday mornings (generally between 6am to 12pm) * Leisure cyclists also cycle on various parts of the route.

Old Upper Thomson Road

DANGER: Drivers do not have clear line of sight of cyclists, whole stretch of Old Upper Thomson Road.

Upper Thomson Rd

DANGER: cars traveling at high speed along Upper Thomson Road may not be watchful of cyclists exiting from Old Upper Thomson Road

New Tiew Rd

The entire stretch of Neo Tiew Road is particularly dangerous as the two-way road is narrow and winding with dense vegetation on both sides which limits the line of sight of drivers coming in the opposite direction. Buses, trucks and lorries frequently speed and carry out dangerous overtaking maneuvers on this road resulting in numerous close shaves between cyclists and motorists.
