This route starts will a lot of climbing to reach the southern pinnacle of the tyne valley surrounding the east Northumberland towns and villages. Once past Hedley on the Hill you start to descend back down via the A695 (which can be busy) to the start at Low Prudhoe and the Tyne Riverside Country Park by dicko4432
