Tyler02 - Gage Park to Waterfront via Stoney Creek

The way points of this bicycle route:

Hamilton

Start at the parking lot at Gage Park, and head south towards Lawrence Rd

Turn left onto Lawrence Road and follow until the end.

Turn right onto King Street East.

Stoney Creek

Beware of Traffic as the bike lane ends - continue into Stoney Creek.

Passing through downtown Stoney Creek

Turn right onto Green Road

Then an immediate left onto Glen Castle.

At the end of Glen Cannon turn left onto Glen Castle

Then a quick right onto Royce Avenue

Turn left onto Millen Road and follow this to it's northern end at Lake Ontario

Making use of more cycling lanes

Continue "straight" on Millen Rd on the bridge over the QEW

Go through the entrance onto the paved trail and turn left.

Trail ends at Frances Avenue. Continue straight on Frances until its end.

Hamilton

Turn right onto Grays Road

Then an immediate left through the man-gate into Confederation Park.

Enjoy the paved trail, but watch out of cars on this pathway. Take the bridge that goes over this waterway.

Going by Wild Waterworks

Enjoy the sceenery

Hang a left at the fork to the traffic lights to head back into town.

Cross the street and then turn left onto Beach Blvd.

Go through the underpass of the QEW, and then turn left onto Woodward Avenue to its end.

I know it's not the prettiest and best cycling route on this road.

Finally at the end of Woodward, turn right onto Melvin Avenue and follow the cycling route signs.

At Walter Avenue (the 3 out of 4 way stop - careful), turn left.

3 blocks up, turn right onto Dunsmure Road.

Careful as you cross Kenilworth Avenue.

At Ottawa Street, take advantage of the pedestrian signals and the First Tim Horton's. Turn left onto Ottawa Street

Turn right onto Sherbrooke at the all-way stop.

Contiue straight through the end of Sherbrooke through the ball diamonds at Gage Park.

end of the path turn right to get back to the parking lot where you started.
