The way points of this bicycle route:
long descent w/ gusts, kinda scary, wide shoulder w/ occasional man hole covers that are sunken below the level of the road... ride near the line, not in the middle of the shoulder
a pace line is a good idea on this stretch, pretty flat
nice climb up and into the Lake Perris Valley. Old road, no traffic.
nice paved path around the lake. Outhouses are located once you get onto the path but bathrooms are a few miles away on the other side of the lake
bathrooms, benches, water fountain...good place for stopping and regrouping
mostly descending down Moreno Beach Dr. until you cross the 60, then it climbs to Ironwood
Ironwood is pretty level, once on Perris Blvd, it is a climb
Reche Vista Dr. is a good climb that finally levels off at some point, then decends to Reche Canyon Rd.
RC Rd. is narrow and consistent traffic, smooth, rough, etc.
there is a vicious dog around here somewhere but I don't know where...just be prepared to sprint at any moment!
if your legs are tired of your pedal falls off, avoid this section of Barton Rd. and cut through the LLU campus.
