R Little Sugarcreek Rd
Bear R at three-way Stop.
At traffic light cross Feedwire Rd.
R on Swigart Rd.
L on Darst Rd.
R on Redwood Blvd. through residential area.
L on Southwood Trail
R on Walnut Grove Lane
R on Westwind Dr.
L on Bramblebush Trail
L on Beacon Hill Rd.
Continue straight across Indian Ripple Rd. on Grange Hall Rd.
L on Creekside Trail, a Rails to Trails multiuse path.
Crossing over I-675 on bridge
Continue on Creekside Trail, which makes a right turn.
Cross Burkhardt St., which is very busy.
Cross Airway Rd, another busy road
Trail crosses Smithville Rd. and continues to Springfield
Cross Springfield and turn R on trail
L into entrance to Eastwood Metro Park. Follow drive under bridge and to left through parking area.
Pick up paved path to Mad River Trail
Trail parallels the Mad River
Cross under the Keowee St. bridge
Riverscape is up the bank to the L.
At this point the trail becomes the Great Miami Scenic Trail and it contiues along just a few feet long the river. Th
One of the bridges downtown is being replaced, so rather than pass underneath as usual, there is a detour along side streets.
The trail contiues along the river. An option is to take some of the parallel side streets.
A worthwhile detour is to turn R on Stewart St. and then L on Brown St. and R on Woodland Ave. Woodland Cemetary is located at the end of the Woodland Ave. and in addition to being very scenic, is the final resting place of several famous Daytonians, including W. & O. Wright, Patterson, Deeds, Dunbar, and many others. Pick up a map at the information center by the main gate.
Another worthwhile detour is a visit to Carillon Historic Park, home an open air museum with famous buildings and artifacts that have been collect there, including the Wright B flyer.
The surroundings become quite rural again.
The trail continues along E. River rd. for a 1/4 mi.
Continue again on trail
I believe the trail crosses the E. Central Ave. for a short distance here. Just follow the trail and signs.
I don't recall exactly where the trail is hee, but it passes througha park. It's all well marked.
Exit Trail L on Chautauqua Rd.
R on Dayton-Cincinnati Pike
L on Crains Run Rd.
L on Woods Rd.
R on Miamisburg-Springboro Rd.
Pass over I-75 on bridge
Cross over SR741 and continue on Austin Rd.
Cross Yankee St. and continue on W. Social Row Rd.
L on Wilmington-Dayton Rd.
R on Ferry Rd.
R on Centerville Rd., followed by an immediate L on Ferry Rd.
L on Waynesville Rd.
L on Maple St.
R on West St.
R on SR725
