Left Turn onto Bonita Road heading East.
Right Turn into Parking Lot At Bonita Museum and Library to conclude ride!
We start by riding around the beautiful Bonita Valley!
Left at Sunnyside Bridge
Left @ Sweetwater Rd
Restrooms In Rohr Park
Bear Right continuing on Sweetwater Road
Left turn onto Plaza Bonita Road
Leave Road and start on Sweetwater Channel Bike Path
Take Bike Bridge across channel and head South.
Right Turn on Lagoon Drive
Left Turn on Marina Parkway
Enter Path along bayfront in Bayside Park. Two restrooms available here.
Chula Vista Marina
Turn Right on Tidelands Avenue/Marina Parkway
Restroom in Marina View Park
Right Turn onto Bay Blvd.
Historic South Bay Salt Works plant. Started in 1870, its the 2nd oldest business in San Diego County! (Oldest is the Union/Tribune newspaper!)
Enter Bike Path - Proceed on South fork to enter Imperial Beach, or opt for ride along edge of South Bay to get to the Strand and proceed into Coronado. (This will add 20? miles to the route)
Turn Right On Coronado Avenue
Coronado Avenue becomes Imperial Beach Blvd.
Great Sculpture! Look at it from the middle of the street and then walk north and look at it from the sidewalk on the North side! Very Cool!
Check out "Surfhenge" colorful acrylic sculpture in the shape of surfboards!
Imperial Beach Pier. Nice place to get something to eat or drink at Cowabunga's or the Subway. Restrooms available at the pier.
Right Turn on Elm Avenue
Jog left then quick right to continue on Elm Avenue
Left on Saturn as you head north after visiting Imperial Beach coastline.
Right on Palm Avenue
Follow signs and watch for hidden bike path that gets you through the freeway entrance traffic more safely!
Left on Hollister which soon becomes Industrial Blvd.
Right on Palomar Street
Right on Orange Avenue
Orange Avenue becomes East Orange Avenue
Now for some rolling hills for the remainder of the Tour de South Bay!
East Orange becomes Olympic Parkway.
Right on La Media
Left on Birch Road
Tallest Bridge of its kind in California. Look right and left to see the Otay River Valley
A long downhill followed by a long uphill!
Keep Right to go past toll booth. (You don't pay!)
Left onto Otay Mesa Road. Use the sidewalk on the North side, it's easier!
Left onto entrance for 125 North
The same hills only in reverse!
Turn Right onto Birch Road
Turn Left into shopping center for optional stop at Food Park, Starbucks or Restrooms on the North Side (the nicest you'll ever see on ANY bike ride!)
Right onto Eastlake Parkway
Left on Hunte Parkway
Check out High Tech High. First of a bunch of things to go into a large Technology Park here. Maybe some day a University in this vicinity also!
Right on Olympic Parkway
New Hope Community Church - Home of "Outspokin' For Jesus!" Christian cycling club.
Optional right turn here will take along the Lower Otay Reservoir to the dam and park at the end of the road. Restrooms available.
Keep Left and proceed up short steep hill.
Mountain Hawk Park - Restrooms Available.
Left on Otay Lakes Road
Right on Fenton
Right on Eastlake Parkway
Right on Lakeshore Drive
Right On Eastlake Drive
Right on Hillside Drive
Look north to see Sweetwater Reservoir
Right on Port Renwick
Right on Corral Canyon. Careful on long descent - many stop signs.

Designed to be low in traffic and high in scenery, this route includes some of the best and most scenic riding in the South Bay, including Bonita, Sunnyside, National City, Chula Vista, Imperial Beach, Otay Mesa, Otay Ranch, and Eastlake. The beauty of this route is that with a slight variation you can jump in at any point and complete as much or as little as you wish. Most of the time you are never more than a dozen miles from your starting point!
