The way points of this bicycle route:
Head down Hull road, turn left into Totara Street.
Ride straight through the Totara Street/Hewletts Road intersection to the boat ramp carpark. There is an accessway up to the main road.
Turn left into Otumoetai Road. This is the only steep hill to climb.
If riding at night it gets quite dark from here until you reach the top of Cameron Road. Have good lighting.
There is no street lighting from here.
Turn into Cameron road, follow it all the way into the city.
Make your way to downtown - once at the waterfront turn left and head towards the railway bridge
Cycle over the railway bridge. Take care - it isn't very wide.
There is a very good footpath all the way along Matapihi Road.
Cycle left at Bayfair and head towards The Mount.
Cycle up Concord Ave and then left at Oceanbeach Road.
