The way points of this bicycle route:
4-way stop @ Old Mill Creek & South Berlin. Begin by traveling southward
It's a short hop on FM 389, but traffic comes around two corners quickly.
Pothole City!
Enjoy the short climbs...
Another couple of short climbs coming up...
You'd think you go straight, but you really turn left...
The road turns into dirt with mouse-sized gravel somewhere at the beginning of Caney Creek Road. It's not bad after a rain, but in dry times, it can be a little bit loose.
Here we return to pavement.
...and back to a loose gravel / dirt surface again.
Change from dirt & gravel to pavement in this area.
Watch for angry dogs around trailer-homes....there are a few pitbulls and mutts that like to chase within 1/2 mile of the turn onto Old Navasota Road.
The road gets back to gravel somewhere around this stream crossing. Traffic often goes too fast over the bridge, and bounces around.
Sometimes tough to see traffic approaching over the hills. Often smells funny in this area.
Semi-regular 4-wheeler traffic from local rednecks. They like to throw-up dust clouds.
To the right, you see a lovely ranch-sign: "Iron Horse".
Watch for auto traffic before and after regular work-hours. It's often faster than expected.
Now go back to the Blinn College parking lot.
It's the parking-lot across the street from the library, where you started.
