My wife and I rode this in 2009 as part of a cross-country tour (west to east). From Taunton to Buzzard's Bay, the route is quite nice - generally a moderate traffic volume and good roads. As you approach the Bourne Bridge, the traffic increases substantially. Be EXTREMELY CAREFUL as you take the ramp onto the bridge - you need to get on the bike path/sidewalk before you get close to the bridge. Otherwise you will find yourself - as we did - prevented from reaching the sidewalk by a chain link fence. You will be forced to either ride in the traffic lane or get onto the sidewalk while in the traffic lane. Either way, that is a very scary experience. by colobikenut
