The way points of this bicycle route:
Route starts at Sutherland PO and uses mostly quiet back street to Cronulla. It connects most of the Shire's major trip generators (Westfield, TAFE, Suthelan d Hospital, etc.) and stick to the ridgeline. Start by heading east along Flora Street.
Bicycle lights here across Acacia Road.
Left into Hotham Road, then immediately right into Clements Parade, past Kirrawee Public School.
Left into Hotham Road
Watch for narrow walkway (opposite pedestrian refuge on right) to cut through to Moani Ave.
Right into Talara Road, the cut left through carpark and then through park to Gymea Bay Road.
Right into Gymea Bay Road, use pedestrian crossing to get to other side of road.
Left into South Street
Off road sections are generally footpaths and are therefore technically "out of bounds" for riders over 12 years of age.
Right into Manchester Road
Left into Houston Street
Left into Sylvania Road
Right into Karimbla Road
Wandella Road is very busy. Take care crossing here.
Cross Kareena Road, ride towards Big Sister Hostel.
Use pathway on right through park to skirt Big Sister Hostel
Cut through park beside Big Sister Hostel
Right into Binalong Avenue
Left into Taren Road
Right onto walkway. Dismount may be required here as there is no access ramp (lobby Sutherland Shire Council!). Take care on path as it can get a bit overgrown.
At end of walkway turn right into Curtis Street.
Look for another accessway (techically a drain!) on the left which will take you through to Willarong Road.
Turn right through carpark, then left up walkway to traffic lights and crossing over Kingsway.
On northern side of Kingsway, turn left (you will need to walk to the corner as there are a lot of pedestrians).
Turn right into Denman Avenue. Use footpath until you reach the pedestrian crossing. Then take to the road through to Cronulla.
Straight across Franklin Road and through the hole in the fence to Phillip Street.
Right into Kurnell Road
Left into Burke Road
Right into Croydon Street
Left into Kingsway.
