Cross A25 and turn right cycling on path
Steep (short) hill in sunken lane to cross the Upper Greensand

Cross dual carriageway, turn right to roundabout

Cross A24 to the 1930s cycle track, which is a good fast surface
Riding though the "Mole Gap" through the North Downs. Old maps say "the river runneth under" because it sometimes disappears down swallow holes and emerges further donw.
