Turn left into Pixham Lane. Denbies Vineyard is opposite, at 265 acres it is the largest in UK.

Cross A25 and turn right cycling on path

Punchbowl Lane, Dorking

Steep (short) hill in sunken lane to cross the Upper Greensand

Turn right

Tanhouse Farm Shop - tasty refreshments

Rusper

Left turn Wimland Road

Frog and Nightgown PH

A favourite of the V-CC - no food but an unaltered country local

Cross dual carriageway, turn right to roundabout

turn left Crawley Road

Roffey, Harwood Rd

fork left Station Road

Horsham train station

For those who only want 20 miles they can get a train back to Ashtead here.

straight across roundabout to Faygate

Tanhouse Farm shop teas, coffee food

turn left after Newdigate

turns right after Royal Oak PH [Betchworth]

forward up Punchbowl Lane [Dorking]

Cross A24 to the 1930s cycle track, which is a good fast surface

Burford Bridge

Riding though the "Mole Gap" through the North Downs. Old maps say "the river runneth under" because it sometimes disappears down swallow holes and emerges further donw.
