Sunnyvale to Adobe HQ (San Jose)

The way points of this bicycle route:

Sunnyvale

Start at Fremont & Wright -- easy to get to this spot from Mtn View and Los Altos as well.

Left on Cascade

Continue on Cascade across Mary. Light sensor works well. Short to medium length light.

Right on Hollenbeck. Hollenbeck a bit busier but this way you don't have to wait for a light.

Left on Cheyenne.

Right on Revelstoke.

Continue to left on Fort Laramie

Right on Richelieu

Left on Alberta

Sometimes a long light crossing Sunnyvale Saratoga. Continue on straight onto Harwick on other side.

Right on Bittern

Left onto Inverness

A long to medium light crossing Wolfe.

Right on Lochinvar

Santa Clara

Often a long light crossing Lawrence

Right onto Pomeroy

Usually a short light crossing Homestead.

Left on Forbes Ave

School traffic & pedestrians can slow you a bit around 8am when school is in session.

Light usually quick to turn crossing Kiely.

Often a very, very long light crossing San Tomas.

Right on Los Padres

Usually a quick light crossing Saratoga

Short light

Left on Dolores Ave

Quick right left jog onto Kenwood across Winchester. Crossing Winchester sometimes tricky but center left turn lane helps.

Right onto Redwood

Left onto Woodland

Right onto Monroe

Left onto Hedding, light usually fairly quick.

Underpass repaved in 2008 making it smoother but often best to ride sidewalk going under 880 due to high speed autos.

San Jose

After underpass, return to street and take right on Bellerose

Left on Emory

Often tricky crossing Bascom to continue on Emory -- no center turn lane and often steady streams of traffic both ways.

Right on Garden. Note the wonderful San Jose Rose Garden!! Many interesting nice houses in this area.

Left on Naglee

Right on Hadley

Left on Brooklyn

Right on Dana

Left on Hester

Right on Park

Quick left on Shasta. Note the interesting houses on Shasta.

Right on Tillman. More interesting houses on Tillman as well as a number of small rotaries (traffic circles).

Left onto Yosemite (stay right on right of the little traffic circle!)

Sharp left onto Race St.

Left onto San Fernando (if you continue down Race another few blocks you'll find Slough's Bike Shoppe on your left just before San Carlos -- very small shop yet well stocked)

Right on Cleaves Ave. Cleaves is bumpy as of 2008 but short.

Left on Park

Quick light crossing Sunol

Underpass under railroad tracks, very wide relatively smooth shoulder.

Medium to short light crossing Montgomery to continue on Park. This section of Park is the "ugliest" part of the ride but at least it is short.

Fairly short light crossing Delmas unless you get caught by a light rail train at the wrong time.

Easiest way to get to Adobe HQ is to get in left turn lane under Guadalupe Pkwy, take a left, and ride up onto the sidewalk over Guadalupe River -- or you can do a U turn with the cars at Park & Almaden.

Easiest to ride up onto left sidewalk from here to Adobe parking garage.

San Jose

Adobe Headquarters! Take a left from sidewalk into the Adobe parking garage at 345 Park Ave. There is a bike cage for employees and monitored/guarded bike racks for visitors.
