from the station head across the old rusty bridge (greasy spoon cafe on the other side), and turn right along North Quay

turn left into Southtown Road, with Matalan on the left corner.

outside lane on approach and go straight ahead (2nd exit)

turn left into Browston Lane (minor road)
at junction, ignore right hand turning
continue ahead along main carriagewy
Hall Road, past Blundeston prison
turn right (3rd exit). Fast big-dipper hill, narrow in places
ahead (2nd exit)
double mini-roundabout. Continue straight along main carriageway at both r'bouts. Heading for Oulton Broad
turn right (2nd exit) - heading for Oulton Broad. Go across the bridge, and take 1st exit (straight ahead) at next roundabout.
Roundabout, take 2nd exit
turn left at traffic lights
turn right
turn right into Uplands Road North
cycle path continues down the alleyway
Cross over the road into Uplands Close. Co-op store on the corner.

Church Lane
turn left by the church
turn right at junction, church on opp. corner
straight ahead, follow B1127
Wrentham church is on the right. Shortly passing Wrentham Village Pound (an old, round, walled structure) and a signpost to the Real Ale Shop, up Priory Road, both on the right

into Southwold Road
proceed into Southwold Road, B1127
turn left, for Southwold
Police station on corner, turn left into Blyth Road. It soon becomes a dirt track (old railway path)
take left fork just after the gateway
Head Across. Or turn left for Southwold harbour - cafe, pub, fresh wet fish etc. It is a working harbour though so be careful
follow the main bridleway, maybe muddy in places
turn right
turn left onto B1125
turn left for Dunwich village
cafe by the beach, old monastery up the road, Ship Inn, small shop etc
signposted Dunwich Cliffs National Trust
clifftop visitor centre (small charge for non-members), tea room, cycle parking. Walking access to beach and RSPB Minsmere
left, signposted Minsmere RSPB
turn left. RSPB Minsmere access road, often muddy
visitor centre with tea room / cafe, cycle parking, nature trails, beach access. small charge for non-members
left along B1125
turn right onto A12, sometimes busy road
signposted Southwold, A1095
turn left into B1127, heading for South Cove and Wrentham
turn right. Wrentham church on opp. corner
straight ahead
straight over
follow road to right, by the school
past train station and across railway lines
turn left (1st exit). B1074
busy road, turn right. On-pavement shared use facilities exist
3rd exit, along main carriageway. Shared-use on-pavement facilities exist
outside lane on approach, before joining right hand filter lane. On-pavement shared use facilities exist (but will slow you down considerably). Turn right into Southtown Road
with Matalan on the corner, using the centre lane, turn right and go over the bridge. Keep in what is now the left hand lane once around the corner.
turn left, along North Quay. Be aware of speeding, impatient motorists
