The way points of this bicycle route:
Turn off the main Winchcombe road.
Right at the war memorial.
Past the Prescott Hill Climb racing circuit.
1st stop at Winchcombe Pottery, they make very nice pint mugs. www.winchcombepottery.co.uk/page1.html
Turn left onto the main Broadway road.
Turn right at the PYO sign.
Turn left at the T-junction, signed for Hailes Abbey and Hayles Fruit Farm.
Tea stop and a chance to look around the farm shop. www.hayles-fruit-farm.co.uk
Left at the T-junction. A properly steep hill.
The top of the hill, turn left and then immediately turn right.
Cheerfully named. Turn right here.
Turn right here. The road is pretty rough and steep.
This turning is easy to miss. The road gets even rougher from here into Brockhampton.
Pub stop in time for lunch.
Whittington, the home of Dick.
Great views of Cheltenham, the Severn valley, Malverns and even the Black Mountains on a good day.
Getting on for the highest point in Gloucestershire.
Very steep downhill. Although it looks as though the raod carries straight on here it does actually go left.
