The way points of this bicycle route:
Start of Ride Stony Point Railway Station. You can get to here on a zone 2 metro ticket. Get train from Frankston. Toilets at caravan park. General store.
TR into Point Rd.
Naval Museum. Entry by gold coin donation.
TR into Jacks Beach Reserve and left onto Bittern Coastal Boardwalk (Wooleys Reserve). Toilets.
Viewing platform
Try a latte and cake at the Aquatic Centre (The Pelican Pantry). Great views out over Port Hastings. Option here to finish ride and go to Hastings Station via High St.
Leave the off road path here and follow Hodgins Rd.
Busy roundabout. Some local traffic after roundabout to Hendesons Rd.
Begin climb to Coolart Road about here. Not too steep.
Coolart Rd. Busy intersection. Road after Coolart Rd(Hodgins Rd) becomes quieter local road.
TR into Stumpy Gully Rd.
TL into Graydens Rd. Road now undulates through bucolic back roads. Sealed shoulders to road to Loders Rd.
Option here for a side trip to Devilbend Reservoir picnic area. Otherwise TR Loders Rd. Gravel road.
Toilets and picnic tables. Do not drink the water from here. return to Loders Rd via Graydens Rd to resume main ride route.
Follow Graydens Rd back to Loders Rd.
TL into Loders Rd.
Moorooduc Recreational Reserve on RHS Toilets here.
Mornington - Tyabb Rd. Busy intersection.
TL into Eramosa Rd. There may be some traffic.
Another opportunity for coffee at Moorooduc Coolstores. Toilets also.
TR into Moorooduc Hwy. Busy intersection.
TL into Two Bays Rd. Get ready for a climb in granney gear.
Climb starts here.
TL into Humphries Rd at roundabout. General store here. Road undulates to Overport Rd.
TR Overport Rd.
Becomes Yuille St.
TL into High St.
TR at roundabout.
Busy intersections from now on. Take care, lots of traffic. Use centre lane down to roundabout down hill. Left lane must turn left!
End ride at Frankston Station.
