The way points of this bicycle route:
Staines Bridge - people have been crossing the Thames here since before the Romans. The Barons camped in Staines before signing Magna Carta.
Round towards Egham, its a busy road but there is a cycle lane marked out. You could use the Thames path instead but watch out for pedestrians
Stick to the left hand lane and watch the traffic feeding from left! Join the off road cycle route at this point but you'll have to get off to cross a couple of roads
Its a busy road but less hassle than the cycle path on your left
If you have £100,000 to spare you may like to do a little window shopping at the Ferrari garage on your right
Turn Right. Now get off the main road and tackle Tite Hill.
Turn right, if you are not out of breath by now then you are incredibly fit!
Turn right
Turn left
Finally it seems like you are on an open country road and the main road and the climb are well behind you
You have arrived. A wide choice of quiet tarmaced roads awaits you. Press on to Windsor or choose a circular route and spot the deer. Its taken 6km to get into the 'country'.
