The way points of this bicycle route:
Outskirt of University of Alaska, North Campus/Arboretum is on Northeast side of road. Parking is possible here. Ride on road or dirt bike path on north side of Sheep Creek Road
End of bike trail, move onto Sheep Creek Road shoulder.
Veer left on Ester Dome Road
Veer left on to St Patrick's Road, this road has very little traffic, and can be either really dusty or really muddy
An underground gold mine and mill that operated discontiuously up to the 1980's. Mining and exploration are dormant now.
After climb up last part of St Patrick Road, turn left on Henderson, afer a short stretch of dirt, Henderson turns into a chip seal raod with a fast down hill.
Outskirts of of the Republic of Ester, turn left on Gold Hill Road; Alternatively, you can follow trails along side or under the major electrical transmission line, it crosses private land in a couple of places, so watch out.
Nice downhil run to intersection of Sheep Creek road
Turn left on Sheep Creek Road access, cross tracks and reach end of circuit.
