The way points of this bicycle route:
Bring your canoe, or pay $30 for a ferry ride with your bike. ugh. BRING DEET or go insane! Some sandy dirt raods, a few miles of sweet single-track, and a cool down on the beach ride back. Nice camping here! but $32 per night, ugh.
Best route is north, less sand, but its almost impassable in summer due to the overgrowth and skeeters.
Very active facilities in use by refuge personnel. Picnik table.
old roads lead to the northern, most secluded area of the island, proceed at own risk!
Ahhh relief from skeeters!
nice spot, lots of pottery shards.
Take a swim! the water is clearer here than almost anywhere on the island.
Riding the beach is FAST and hard, especially at low tide where you have a larger wet sand path. like pavement!
