Bicycle Heaven, St. Charles

Great ride lead by Bicycle Heaven in St. Charles (http://www.bicycleheavenstcharles.com). I had no idea Illinois had this many hills! Group rides are on Tuesdays & Thursdays Meeting at Bicycle Heaven in St. Charles at 5:45pm. Skills range from pro to intermediate/fast novice. Stop in and say, "Hi" to the shop owner, Ara.

They usually meet either inside the shop or just in the rear parking lot.

Right on 4th Street

Left on State Street

Right on Dean

Right on Burr Road

Left on Fairway Dr

This will lead into the Country Club. Grand homes along the way.

Left on Bolcum

This is technically where the ride really starts. Lots of other riders join in at this point. Everyone tries to go get to this point by 6pm.

Right on Denker

Left on Silver Glen

Right on Corron

Left on McDonald

Right on Crawford (or shortcut through)

Shortcut: If you're lagging behind the group, you can continue down McDonald and catch up when they come back down to McDonald Road

Left on Lenz

Left on Dittman

Right on McDonald

Shortcut - McDonald and 47

Easy to cut down 47 to the bottom of the route - Be warned though - 47 can be very busy with large trucks driving fast. Alternative: take Burlington Road back to Bolcum road for short ride.

Right on Thomas

Shortcut: Thomas Left to Ramm Right to Peplow Left

Left on Middleton

Left on Peplow

Left on Route 64

Right on Meredith

Left on Beith

Left on Townhall

This can be a killer hill. It's steep-plateau-steep sort of a stair step. Just make sure you come into it with as much speed as you can.

Right on Campton Hills

Left on Peck

Right on Dean
