The way points of this bicycle route:
Great ride lead by Bicycle Heaven in St. Charles (http://www.bicycleheavenstcharles.com). I had no idea Illinois had this many hills! Group rides are on Tuesdays & Thursdays Meeting at Bicycle Heaven in St. Charles at 5:45pm. Skills range from pro to intermediate/fast novice. Stop in and say, "Hi" to the shop owner, Ara.
They usually meet either inside the shop or just in the rear parking lot.
This will lead into the Country Club. Grand homes along the way.
This is technically where the ride really starts. Lots of other riders join in at this point. Everyone tries to go get to this point by 6pm.
Shortcut: If you're lagging behind the group, you can continue down McDonald and catch up when they come back down to McDonald Road
Easy to cut down 47 to the bottom of the route - Be warned though - 47 can be very busy with large trucks driving fast. Alternative: take Burlington Road back to Bolcum road for short ride.
Shortcut: Thomas Left to Ramm Right to Peplow Left
This can be a killer hill. It's steep-plateau-steep sort of a stair step. Just make sure you come into it with as much speed as you can.
Almost home!
