The way points of this bicycle route:
This Route is ment for a quick blast, takes about an hour, isn't too hard and you can start it anywhere and can be ridden either way round. Reverse is harder though.
Turn right onto dirt track.
Re join public path along side of pond. Lots of walkers n kids, Caution.
Right over small bridge onto rooty dirt track.
Over small humped bridge, right up to gate n and main road.
Left at round-about into park. Use bike side of path.
Turn right onto dirt track.
Right over small bridge onto rocky rooty dirt track.
Follow tight single track around old mill up to pond.
Go up the stairs, turn right onto road.
Right onto path. Follow.
Right. Up a little steep section, left onto road.
Cross road onto track.
Water crossing. Can be deep after rain.
Nice and quick dirt track with various rooty rocky muddy sections. Well trodden by walkers and horses.
Turn left onto broken road.
Sharp left up steep broken road marked bridleway. Follow to top.
At top, cross road and follow straight on. Continue climbing.
Turn right onto marked but hidden bridleway
Follow left.
Cross road. Onto singletrack. This is marked as a footpath but is hardly used. Great tight muddy rooty singletrack climb.
Small descent onto Ringinglow Road.
Left. Follow road down until large building on the right. Look for a bridleway that has been resurfaced with tarmac on the right.
Right into marked bridleway.
Turn right onto a fire road marked as bridleway. Up a little, follow round the outside of fenced off land. Steady Climb.
Stay on top path, heading towards mobile phone mast on the right.
Mobile phone mast. Quick descent down old broken road.
Cross farm, through a gate marked bridleway. Nice fast sweeping rooty rocky muddy singletrace descent.
End of descent. Small drop onto road, sharp right, follow road.
Cross Hathersage road onto Limb Lane.
Follow limb lane.
Sharp left off Limb Lane down towards Ecclesall Woods.
Fast descending fire road.
Gate. Continue straight on, over bridge along side of stream to your left. Quick muddy double track.
Left at gate, over concrete bridge then right along broken muddy path.
Right at the fork, down towards main road.
At gate before main road, turn sharp left, follow very muddy singletrack, or, drop onto main road, turn left until traffic lights.
this trail isn't that easy to follow. Dropping onto the raod may be best if you cant seem to follow it.
Over a new wooden bridge with chicken wire on it!
Sharp right onto main fire road, through gate onto main road.
Right. Straight down to traffic lights.
Traffic Lights. Straight over if come down form woods. Turn right if dropped out of wood further up. Follow road up and over bridge.
Turn right off Abbey lane onto Beauchief Drive.
Follow up and up.
Turn left onto fire road, up to gate, go through. Steady climb up to another gate.
Just after gate follow up then turn left onto hemper lane. Go down Hemper lane till small round about.
Round about. Take Third exit, onto Greenhill Main road, climb.
Follow round past pubs!
At junction turn left onto Greenhill Parkway. Follow round till large busy roundabout
At round about take first exit onto Meadowhead.
Go straight on past Morrisons traffic lights. Descend down to Woodseats.
At traffic lights continue straight on into Chesterfiled Road, through Woodseats.
At lights continue down Chesterfield Road towards town.
Chesterfield Road becomes London Road
At lights, continue straight on up London road.
At lights at top of hill turn right. Follow London Road down.
Continue through lights to St Mary's gate.
Left onto St Mary's Gate.
At round about turn left onto Moore Street and the onto Ecclesall Road.
At lights continue up Ecclesall road to hunter barr round about and the end of the loop.
End of ride. Short and sweet!
