Small Page Hill/Alpine loop

The way points of this bicycle route:

Palo Alto

Start at California Avenue Caltrain station. You are allowed to travel with your bike on Caltrains without extra charge

As this is a easy route you can start your day with a small sandwich and a Café Latte at Painters Inc. Café.

Page Mill has high traffic but its a convenient way to get out of town.

Old Page Mill Rd. has worse tarmac but nearly no traffic. If you like to share the road with the cars you can use 'new' Page Mill

Take extra care for mad SUV drivers or sleepy Silicon Valley professionals while passing 280.

Los Altos

Turn right on Arastradero Road. This is the only turn you might miss, so take care.

Here is is the only small climb of the road. But it is less than 1/4 mile and not really steep.

For some reason Alpine Road feels like going down in both directions

Stanford

I like to ride on Palm Road.

Palo Alto

This is Palo Alto downtown. If you fancy a beer visit Gordon Biersch.

Bryant Road is a special bike route.

Palo Alto - Professortown

If I only could afford to buy a house here...

There is a bike underpass to bring you back to the Caltrain station.
