This starts at my home but down the block is Golfland and also a coffee shop that cyclist frequent - park and start at one of these. These start points are on the Jacklin/N. Park Victoria intersection.

4.74 Mile Point - Start of Sierra Road Climb. This is the hardest climb of the 06/07 versions of the Tour of California. You will be immediately greeted with a good straightaway stretch of 16% grade - ouch!!
8.63 Mile Point - End of Sierra Road Climb and turn around to head back to Piedmont Road. You will know this turning point by all the painted names of pro riders on the road.
12.46 Point - End of Sierra Road descent
Entering Alum Rock Park for an easy short climb into the general park vicinity headed towards Alum Rock Ave.
17.08 Mile Point - End of Alum Rock Loop - Turn around. ALternatively you can keep on going on Alum Rock Avenue towards Mt Hamilton Road about 1/2 mile away.
