The way points of this bicycle route:
This is not the actual start point the real start point is my home, about 3 miles from this point (I don't want to publish that!!)
Carefull here... Mind that you take your turn to turn and you have the drivers' attention..!
Woo Hoo! You should be doing about 30mph at the bottom of this hill... if not, LAY OFF THE BRAKES!!!... and dodge the loose gravel and street crud
Wait at the light....waaait for it!! (its called Jackson HIGHWAY for a reason, yo!)
Carefull here.. Not much bike room on the right.. share the road by force if nec.. Don't get hit by the Light Rail train or the crossing guard coming down..
The light here is the biggest PITA ever.. it ALWAYS goes to red when you get to it. It does not sense your bike... just wait for it anyway... don't break the law.. you can use the breather anyway..
Almost there...
Wait at the light.. marvel at the gas prices at the stations on the corners. Smile smugly because you are a bike commuter
Watch the traffic coming up on your 6.. they are not watching out for you.. stay in the lane just as if you were a car and grind like hell (look! a big hill coming up!!)
Woo Hoo! You made it to the top.. catch your breath as you coast down.. Stay in the right lane on the way down (after the light at Gold Center). There is no bike lane, so take over the entire lane. If you try to stay all the way to the right, you WILL get clipped (the lane is a bit small)
Hopefully the light is green, so you can keep your momentum. You should be doing between 20-25 mph if so.. REMEMBER, stay in the middle of the right (not the turn) lane all the way to the next way point (let the cars go around in the other lane)
Stop at the sign, look, turn...
Go in...
Cruise the parking lot
put the bike away, shower and change.. (What? You can't wear lycra at your desk?!?)
