The way points of this bicycle route:
Start at intersection of S. River Rd and Babel Slough Rd.
Follow Sacramento River along S. River Rd
Traffic along this stretch of S. River Rd is the "worst" you will experience -- fortunately not much.
Continue on River Rd. past bridge (another possible starting point, though we chose to end with prevailing SW wind at our backs).
Netherlands Rd begins most scenic part of ride; a few markets here for water, snacks, etc.
Outside of town begin the vineyards
Begins stretch directly into the wind
Begin glorious "wind at your back" last third.
This winding levy road is beautiful and shaded, with no traffic
Finish!

Lovely ride at top of Sacramento River Delta, through vineyards and along levy roads, with minimal traffic. Best to start from the Northern portion, since prevailing SW winds can get strong especially mid-late afternoon, and it's nice to have the wind at your back for the last third of the trip.
