The way points of this bicycle route:
chez allderblob: the screeching you hear is the sound of subway cars in a hurry to get their routine maintainence.
Steep hill (for toronto that is). You're on the shore of old lake algonquin.
Join (leave) Jones Bikelane at Boultbee
Say Hello to Peter and Suzanne!
Say hello to David Sells
This little street with its traffic humps avoids the lights and car clot at Jones and Dundas
Say hello to Marianne and Paul
Say Hello to Allan Puss
Here's where we join (or leave) the dundas bikelane. Note for eastbound cyclists: the turn onto Dagmar can be hairy, what with steroidal traffic from the Pape traffic light trying to get home to Scarborough.
Westgound: no more bikelanes on Dundas, plus you have streetcars joining you from Broadview, and Don Valley Parkway Northbound traffic.
Traffic turns here to go north on the Don Valley Parkway. If you're going East, they cut you off from behind; if you're going west they misjudge your speed and turn in front of you. Be careful!
Eastbound--Join River Bikelanes Westbound--leave River bikelanes. Either way it's a transition between crappy road (river st.) and busy road with streetcars and fast traffic (dundas). Westbound in the morning you have an advanced green to turn south on River!
Join Shuter bikelanes
Yonge street
westbound it's Richmond, eastbound it's Adelaide
we gittin there!
enough already!
