Thackeray St Bridge. Yes those really are a lot of steps to get to the top of the bridge. You need to carry your bike, or wheel it up a narrow strip of concrete to the side of the steps, some people may have difficulties. I've managed to get a tandem and BOB trailer over it, but it wasn't easy.

Camelia

Fancy that, seems like theres about as many steps coming down off Thackeray St Bridge as there were going up. Its harder coming down with a heavily loaded bike than it is going up.

Concrete path ends, boardwalk starts. Be aware riding bikes isn't permitted on the boardwalks (there is a fine). I still use it, just slow down and pull up for pedestrians to pass. This section of boardwalk under the mangroves is typically very slippery when wet, be very careful at the next corner, even on foot.

Padstow

Left to cross the bridge over Salt Pan Creek. There are tight turns, awkward for tandems, trailers and trikes. If its raining you'll notice the very thoughtfully provided shower of water dumping straight off the M5 onto the boardwalk nearby. The graffiti gallery under the M5 is always changing.

Riverwood

Boardwalk ends, continue along path. Watch for oncoming cyclists and pedestrians at this corner, shrubs often obscure the view.
