Approximately 69 miles, 2855ft of climbing. Moderate. We will head east from Anaheim Stadium and pick-up Santiago Canyon. Some early climbing will be offset by the beautiful views and bike friendly road. A left-turn at the historic Cook’s Corner Biker Bar (other bike) will take us to arguably the most beautiful canyon in Orange County; Live Oak Canyon—a hidden gem. We will then go through the communities of Rancho Santa Margarita, Mission Viejo, Lake Forest, and Irvine; stopping at Starbucks in Irvine. Afterwards, we will travel to Newport Beach via UCI and the stunning vistas of Newport’s Back Bay. We will return to Anaheim via the Santa Ana River Trail, a phenomenal bike path (wish LA’s bike path were as cared for as SART). by ryannewman
