The way points of this bicycle route:
A pleasant flat route around San Leandro Bay...except for the ride on Doolittle. However Doolittle has a fairly wide bike lane. But be careful there as occasional cars drift into the lane

A pleasant ride mostly on bike paths in the MLK Regional Park.
Easiest place to start is at Veterans Court by the Bay Farm Island Bridge where there is car parking.
Doolittle has high traffic but has a bike lane. Part of MLK is on Doolittle and you can cut in there for part of the route to limit your exposure.
There is a restroom and water there and three more in the rest of the park along the way. Pack your binocs for birdwatching along the way. Arrowhead Marsh is famous as a refuge for an abundant population of the endangered Clapper Rail.
