from north New Jersey thru Rockland county New York to the pretty Seven Lakes of Harriman State Park. Route tries to mostly select quieter roads. It's one stage of a loop north thru the Seven Lakes to Bear Mountain, then along the Hudson River south back to the GWB. The full loop is about 100 miles and hilly. It is the great (non-train-supported) bicycling adventure from New York City -- lakes with islands, river views, mountain views, classic descents. For more details and careful cue sheet directions and connections to other sections of this loop, see NYC to Bear Mt Adventure at www.roberts-1.com/bikehudson/x/w on Bike Hudson Valley -- routeID [bhvw13b]. This route last checked by us in 2009.
