Leave Curtis Park
Over the UP overpass
Left onto Freeport, stay in the right lane to get into bike lane.
Shoulder can be trashy here.
Road narrows as it passes under I-5. Hold your line.
Toilets and water fountains at the sports complex.
Right onto drawbridge.
Metal grate decking. Can be very slick if wet.
Road gets narrow and there's a railing along the shoulder.
Dinky Diner. Good place to stop for a snack.
Right off levee road.
Grocery store.
Left onto E19
Look for hawks, herons, geese.
Right onto Jefferson Blvd. Prevailing wind will probably be a tail wind now.
Right on Babel Slough Rd.
Left onto S. River Road.
Lots of trucks here.
Cross the tracks. Be careful.
Left on Gregory.
Past the firehouse, and right onto Jefferson again.
Right onto 15th.
Left onto S. River Road.
Right, around the ball park
Right, onto the Tower Bridge.
Straight up Capitol Mall to the State Capitol
Straight up Capitol Mall to the State Capitol
Straight up Capitol Mall to the State Capitol
Turn right past bridge and get on riverside walk/bike way.
Get onto Front St from riverside walk.
Down Front to Broadway, left on Broadway.
Nice bike lane disappears. Watch for traffic coming in and out of Target lot, especially
Right right past Tower on Land Park Dr. No bike lane first short bit, watch for angry cars.
Turn left. 2nd Ave bike route, no bike lane, but quiet.
Funny intersection. Take left fork to continue on 2nd.
Rt. on 24th.
