The way points of this bicycle route:
Start at the Strauss Statue near the Golden Gate Bridge Visitors' Center on the south end of the bridge.
Take the pedestrian path behind the statue to get to the bridge -- go right when the path forks.
Veer left on the gravel path
Go under the bridge/101.
Careful -- watch for clusters of slow-moving tourists!
Be careful when rounding the bridge's two pylons -- watch for stopped tourists and/or strong crosswinds!
Again, mind the pylons!
Watch for stopped tourists and/or cyclists!
Enter the bike path just before Mike's Bikes.
There's a water fountain and bathrooms at the water-treatment building here.
Cross E. Blithedale Ave here and go left.
Enjoy the climb up Camino Alto
Stop sign at the bottom of a steep windy decent.
Be certain you come to complete stops at any stop signs in Larkspur - the police are out and hiding!
Visit the General Store for food/fluids and there's a porta-potty across the road next to the baseball diamond.
Stop at the Olema Liquor and Deli to refuel.
If you can find the entrance to the Marin Cross Valley Trail you can take that through Samuel P. Taylor Park -- it's much better than the road. Otherwise, stay on Sir Francis Drake Blvd. through the park.
Back at Nicasio Valley Blvd.
