S. Fork Clearwater Century Ride

This is a companion ride for the Salmon River Tour. This ride features a low-traffic road along the South Fork of the Clearwater river, alternately through ponderosa pine parkland, steep, rocky cliffs, and dense fir forests, and past an occasional cascade. It's an out-and-back so close to the river that you're in danger of riding into it, and during the spring the river roars and churns. Full services in Elk City at the halfway point and a steady downhill afterward. What's not to like?by bhouser
