The way points of this bicycle route:
START. Proceed EAST on E. Belfast Road.
RIGHT----> at YORK ROAD (Rt. 45) (T), then Left (<) at the first road, Lower Glencoe Rd.
<----LEFT at LOWER GLENCOE ROAD.
The Northern Central Railroad Trail, which extends from Cockeysville Md. to York, Pa. is across the bridge over the Gunpowder Falls river on your right and is crossed by Glencoe Rd. Todays ride continues straight ahead(North, not East) but the name of the road changes to Upper Glencoe Rd. Next turn is a Right at York Rd.
RIGHT----> at YORK ROAD (Rt. 45), then Left (<) at first road; Cold Bottom Rd. Note: the word 'bottom' refers to the bottom of a valley, not what we would prefer to snigger about. Note old roadhouse hotel on right. From 1807 to 1958 this road was the main route between Baltimore and York, Pa.
<----LEFT at COLD BOTTOM ROAD. Note; Cold Bottom Rd. crosses I-83 on an overpass bridge. There is no motor vehicle access between the two roads.
<----LEFT at YEOHO ROAD, then immediate Right onto Duncan Hill Road. Note; Duncan Hill Rd. is a one-lane road, not a driveway.
RIGHT----> onto DUNCAN HILL ROAD. Note; Duncan Hill Rd. is a one-lane road, not a driveway. Ahead on the left, the remains of an old quarry can be seen. A quarry on a hilltop makes it easier to move the stone mined here.
Bear Left at start of descent. Note; STEEP, high-speed descent to Right turn at Belfast Rd. CAUTION! Brake early and often, road does not continue past Belfast Rd.; must turn or crash. Watch for traffic.

RIGHT----> at BELFAST ROAD (T).
<----LEFT at JOYCE LANE.
<----LEFT at WESTERN RUN ROAD (T).
<----LEFT at GERBER LANE.
RIGHT----> at WHEELER LANE (T) (Thornton Mill Rd.).
<----LEFT at PRICEVILLE ROAD. Ahead on left is the Gunpowder Friends Meeting House, a Quaker church established in A.D. 1740. If you look closely you will find an eight-hole brick out-house behind it. Please be considerate if services are being held.
<----LEFT at PRICEVILLE ROAD (Quaker Bottom Rd.)
RIGHT----> at BELFAST ROAD (T). END of ride just ahead past I-83 overpass.
