Use the path adjacent to the houses on the left at the end of the cul-de-sac to reach the small green and then use the path that runs alongside the primary school.
Careful as this trfack is not well maintained.

Down hill at last !
More serious down hill and great views up the valley
Flat and a with luck a tail wind
Could stop at Chevin Cycles if you have your padlock
Now for the last serious up hill. There is a pavement if you have to push (like I did) for some of it.
