The way points of this bicycle route:
Some beautiful, old houses in Glenwood Hills area, and starts out as a nice ascent.
There are a couple ways to get to Glenwood Park Ave.
Glenwood Park has some traffic, but they don't go (or shouldn't be) very fast, and there is a reasonable burm.
This is just a little detour, very steep, but short climb.....should produce a little burn.
This is a good road with some traffic, but wider burms, if I remember correctly.
Take a right, then left onto Old Perry Hwy/ Old French Rd
...officially begins here.
There is a stop sign at the bottom of the hill here, which is kind of strange, but I belive it's a 3 way stop, but not completely sure....I usually roll through the intersection, but carefully!!
Right after going under I90, there is a nice ascend that is steep at first and tapers off to a false flat
Becare when going across this intersection, cars are going very fast!
Take a left.
Take a Left.
This is a very gradual ascent but is about a mile long.
Road does not have much traffic, but the road surface is not the best, and there is no burm
This is a fun and fast descent. The road surface has been great in the past, and there are not many cars.
Here you can take a left on Arbuckle, and hit Old French Rd, and back track, or add an alternate route.
This is also another alternate route.
I usually just take 38th Street back to my house. Traffic is heavy, but they go slow, and the road surface is new.
This is a short but fun route, usually only takes me an hour or less. There are plenty of roads that can be taken to add length to this ride.
