Trail turns right at Ingalls Ave. Use the roadway to get to Essington Rd.

Cross Essington Rd. at traffic light.

Continue on path.

side trail to library off Black Rd. This side trail goes by the library, then turns right and follow along Black Rd. before turning right past the preserve entrance before Addleman St. and loops back to this point.

picnic shelter on left (on side trail that runs around the lake)

Cross Black Rd. (difficult to cross during peak periods...there is a traffic light at E. Frontage Rd. on your right if you want to cross Black Rd. safely)

trail continues left along Jefferson St. for short distance to traffic light

Cross Jefferson St. at light

going by Joliet Fire Dept. Station No. 7

Cross McDonough St. Trail goes right.

Trail on left goes by small lake and ends at playground.

passing by Joliet Jr. College

Trail turns right and crosses Olympic Blvd. Trail parallels Houbolt Rd. rest of way to I&M Canal trail.

Burger King on right

7-Eleven on SW corner of Houbolt / Rock Creek Dr.

I-80 westbound access ramp (be careful here)

I-80 eastbound exit ramp (be careful)

Cross Mound Rd. Use shoulder to get across RR tracks and to access the I&M Canal trail.

Rock Run trail ends. (I&M Canal trail to left takes you thru Channahon, Morris, Seneca, Marsailies, Ottawa and Utica before it ends in Lasalle.)
