The way points of this bicycle route:
Starting at the intersection of Morotai Ave and William Rd, Riverwood, head down the hill. Riverwood Station is just south.
William Rd becomes Henry Rd at the corner. In the park just west there is shelter, seats and electric BBQ.
Right into Lillian Rd.
Lillian St and Webb St intersection. Straight ahead along Lillian St past the road closed signs and barriers. Please note, from 10/07/09 Webb St underpass will be closed for approx 6 months for K2RQ railway work.
Lillian Rd ends. Follow the short bit of dirt path towards Salt Pan Creek.
A boardwalk starts here, it can be slippery in the wet. To follow this route go straight ahead, if you turn right theres a boardwalk to a BBQ , tap and small rotunda about 200m NE.
Bridge over Salt Pan Creek.
Theres about four steps, or a wheelchair ramp with tight turns. Veer right to follow Salt Pan Creek upstream. Be aware that bikes are banned from being ridden on the boardwalk :-( Theres often people fishing here (don't eat the fish). Please note the boardwalk south under the rail bridge closed on 06/07/09 till approx 2011.
Boardwalk finishes, continue along path..
Cross Davies Rd, it can get very busy and vehicle speeds are high, be cautious. Head to the wide driveway on the far side of Davies Rd.
Continue along the driveway.
Turn right to leave the driveway and use a path through the park.
Left into Banks St.
Banks St becomes Cahors Rd. Padstow Station on your left.
Intersection of Cahors Rd and Memorial Dr. Veer right to continue along Cahors Rd. Padstow Library is across the road.
Roundabout, veer left to continue along Cahors Rd.
Left into Sphinx Ave.
Roundabout, continue ahead along Sphinx Ave. From here theres a long gentle downhill to River Rd, Revesby.
Left into River Rd at the traffic lights. This intersection can get busy.
Right into Marco Ave at the traffic lights.
Continue along Marco Ave. There is also a shared ped/bike path on the southern edge of Abel Reserve near the railway.
Pedestrian crossing, veer left to follow Marco Ave.
Pedestrian crossing. Theres an ATM on your right, Revesby station and bike lockers on your left.
Right into the carpark. You should be able to see the bike racks from here.
First left towards Woolworths.
Theres nice shiny bike racks right outside Woolworths. Jon-Pierre's is a good cafe about 100m north, and for those who want something else Gloria Jeans is just south.
