The way points of this bicycle route:
Starting and ending in front of the Blind Piper
A little early in the ride maybe, but a great place to stop and admire the views!
Nice waterside town, with coffee shops and restaurants
Now entering the "big town" on this side of the peninsula
Turning right here will avoid the centre of Killarney - but you can of course go through town if you feel like it. Plenty of shops, restaurants, etc
Entering the park. Just beautiful! Keep your eyes on the narrow, winding roads, though!
Stay on the N71 toward Kenmare for a slightly longer route. Bear right onto the R568 for a less-travelled alternative route to Sneem (you'll miss some of the coast though).
pick up the N70 before town in order to carry on and avoid Kenmare traffic and tourists. OR - head into town to grab a bite to eat and look around if you feel like it.
Funny name; lovely town. You're almost done (if you're heading back to Caherdaniel, that is!), so you can probably afford a pint (ONE, mind you!) by now.
Left here will take you back to the Piper
