Ridin' Dirty - North Lake Washington Night Ride Loop
by revlee

The way points of this bicycle route:

Northgate parking lot

Good place to sail around. Get ready for hills.

15th is pretty much downhill

On Sunday night we hit every light, one of life's injustices.

U District

Take a right to roll down the Ave

Bumpy Gilman

Take a right and jump on the bike trail. Don't worry, you won't be on it for long, and this stretch is well-lit and relatively smooth.

Jump off the trail and cross the Montlake Bridge

WRONG WAY

You Rule The Streets Night Rider!

Nice Place For A Drink

If maybe the Huskies hadn't of blown it so severely against ASU on Saturday, maybe we would have sat on the north side of the trail and admired Husky Stadium. Instead, we choose this nice little dock with a post-industrial view of State Highway 520 and the lily pads.

Nice little place to smoke a blunt

Beaver Bridge

All-around great spot this is. You might say, 'We just smoked weed 30 minutes ago.' Well, smoke some more.

Hop on Bellevue Way

Traffic is usually pretty mellow here, late at night, that is.

7-11

Featuring selection of FOUR brand malternative beverages.

On left is Stop and Rob

That sells cheap alcopops.

Get ready for the big Finn Hill climb

Hope you are prepared. By 'prepared' I mean, drunk and high.

DOWN HILL!

Mob on down the road.

Left here, to connect with the Bumpy Gilman

Around here somewhere

... is a sign that says 147th Street. Given that I was a little drunk by this point, I can't remember exactly how we made it back to 107th and Aurora.

back home

good ride. good ride.
