The way points of this bicycle route:
Start at entrance to Hallcroft Fisheries. Follow track towards river, turn left before gates, go through a metal gate so river is on your right.
Metal gates. Follow the course of the river, can be muddy, flat.
Pass over a conveyor belt line via bridge, then continue on.
Cross over a conveyor belt via bridge, on the other side pass over a style, then turn right over river, turn left.
Cross bridge, then veer left after small drop onto a wide sandy lane.
Turn left go past Blue Bell pub to x-roads.
Turn right.
Continue along road, straight across, (may be some traffic).
Along this road on your left is Daneshill Water, there is a path that goes right around the lake, (not shown here).

Straight over road along farm track.
Turn left onto grass farm track.
Rejoin road for 200m.
Turn right past Blue Bell Pub. Busy road.
Turn left at canal bridge, follow towpath.
This is a canal barge mooring and service area, (no shops). There are a set of locks.

This is a small wooded area beside canal and bridge. Turn left through wood to road, turn right over bridge, (quiet road).
Turn left over bridge, then left again along canal path.
Following road, you will pass farm yard and buildings, Babworth football pitch.
Cross straight over very busy road.
Babworth Kennels adjacent to crossing.
Cross over A1, (extremely busy). All this area is under construction due to rerouting of A1.
A quiet lane leading to main entrance of Clumber Park, Apleyhead Lodge. Please ignore the local artificial fauna & flora.
There is a small portacabin cafe here, used by cyclists, friendly.
From here you can cycle at leisure around park, tracks too numerous to show. This will show a road route to lake, which then becomes a cycle path around the lake.
Turn right and follow steep sweeping downhill to a small carpark beside lake, watch out for cars coming uphill.

Follow marked route around lake, crossing weir via a footbridge at this point.

Turn right over ornamental bridge, then right after bridge back onto the cycle path.
You will come out onto the road near a barrier across road, no traffic.

Cycle hire.
Continue back onto cycle path (posted), follow to two stone pillars marking an entrance.
Stone pillars, turn right along fence line.
Rejoin road, (quiet).
Return via the way you came in, or follow cycle route back to Apleyhead Lodge.
Turn left at toilets through to carpark
Quiet road.
Turn right beside some houses, signed cycle route.
Returned to Lime Tree Avenue, turn right follow route via the way in back to the canal bridge.
Gate across path.
Pass under foot bridge(not shown)past cemetry.

Take 2nd exit off roundabout(busy).
Follow this road all the way, over speedhumps back to start.
